The LTRC meets monthly at 6:00 pm on the fourth Monday of the month at the Liberty Township Municipal Building. The Commission oversees community programs, recreation sports and activities.

Weekly Wednesday Yoga & Qi-Gong:
Our indoor fitness program is cancelled for the winter season. We are sorry for any inconvenience and are looking forward to continuing once the warm weather allows us to be back outdoors in April/May 2020.

Hackettstown Tigers Basketball Varsity Head Coach, Mike McDonagh will be hosting another Skills & Drills Basketball Camp.

This clinic is open to ALL students/athletes from incoming Grades 4th thru 9th & will be at Field of Dream in Great Meadows, NJ.

This is a great opportunity for all participants to not only learn but have FUN!

2021 Liberty Township Rec Spring Soccer Registration Info

Liberty Township Recreation provides a fall co-ed soccer program for girls and boys in grades Kindergarten through Eighth Grade through Warren County’s Northwest Jersey Soccer Association (NWJSA).

Community Day 2018 Awards

Congratulations to this year’s Rosenkrans award recipients are Emily Garguilo & Andrew Kmetz!  Emily played soccer & volleyball. Andrew played soccer, basketball and baseball.  They both made honor roll for all marking periods and they had the highest GPA out of all the contenders.

Rosenkrans Award Winners:

Background: The Rosenkrans Award was established in 1977 in honor of the late David Rosenkrans.  David was one of the driving forces behind the establishment and success of the Liberty Township Athletic Association (LTAA) in the 1970's.  He coached Liberty Township Little League Baseball and Independence Township midget football.  David died at the young age of 36.  In memory of David’s dedication to LTAA and the Liberty Township, the Rosenkrans Award was established. 

Award:  The winners of the award receive a $50.00 gift card, a trophy and their names put on the Mother Cup.  The Mother Cup is a trophy that resides in the Liberty Township Municipal Building and lists all the winners of the award.   The award recognizes both a male and female student who is in 8th grade, a Liberty resident and has scored the highest in the award academic and sports criteria. 

Criteria:  2 points are awarded for participating in sports programs and 1 point awarded for each of the 1st three marking periods that a student makes the honor roll and 2 points for each high honor.

2016 Winners:  This year’s winners are Samantha Cerami and Brett Wilson.

Samantha participated in field hockey, basketball, volleyball and lacrosse during her 8th grade year.  She also achieved High Honor Roll for all three marking periods.

Brett participated in three sports; soccer, basketball and baseball during his 8th grade year.  He also achieved Honor Roll for the first marking period.

2015 Winners: This year’s winners are Cierra Page and Max Crowder.

Cierra participated in cheerleading and basketball during her 8th grade year. She also achieved High Honor Roll the first marking period and Honor Roll for the second and third marking periods.

Max participated in wrestling and lacrosse during his 8th grade year. He also achieved High Honor Roll for all three marking periods.
